We heard from Danielle, the Community Engagement Coordinator of ELAP about the many services that they offer. As an additional note: in cases of abuse, the eligibility of the victim to receive services does not take into account the abuser's income.

Do you or your family members have any legal questions? Are you interested in knowing more about your rights and legal options? Join us for a workshop with Chris Lovings!
Chris Lovings is the Community Engagement Manager from Eastside Legal Assistance Program (ELAP). ELAP conducts free community-based advice civil legal clinics for low-income residents of King County. During the pandemic, these clinics are all virtual (either over the phone or over Zoom). Community members receive one-on-one appointments with attorneys to address civil legal issues. These clinics cover family law, tenant law, domestic violence, immigration, and general law (estate planning, tenant rights, Medicare/Medicaid, disability, etc.) issues. ELAP provides public workshops at community gathering places (and during COVID in a virtual space): topics include tenant rights, immigration, preparing your own will, veteran benefits, family law, and other civil legal issues.
